Welcome the Charleston Baby!!! This was an excellent first meal on my first visit to Charleston, SC. Catfish was seasoned and fried to perfection and the sofserve ice cream was rich and custardy (is that a word? Well It is today) just like I like it. Oh and I can't forget about the ever so helpful and attentive bartender Taylor (he's a cutie ) tell him you want the Daytripper...it's sure to have you tripping through your day

I love Fried Chicken, and love Oysters, so had to check it out... Seemed to be retrofitted gas station or car repair shop, but very well done with nice furniture and decor. The bathroom wall paper is especially entertaining, though might be awkward for kids under 10. Service friendly all around. $18 Leon's World Famous Char-Grilled Oysters...6 tasty oysters grilled with lemon, parsley, butter, parmesan, good stuff! Raw oysters usually $3 each, so pretty solid deal for the extra work and ingredients. $5 Small Cucumber Salad...fresh, delicious, hipster style in a nice marinade and seasonings...its like a bowl of pickles, elevated. $14 Fried Chicken - White Meat...very good! The chicken was hot, juicy and succulent. The breaded skin was flavorful with nice touch of heat. I just wish the breading was thicker and crispier. It's also a la carte, so it seemed a bit overpriced for what you got. Maybe if it was $10 or $11. Or include a biscuit. $3 PBR Draft...I couldn't help myself at that price!

Leon's is a Charleston staple with amazing drinks, Decius oysters, and some of the best fried chicken around. Even if there's a wait, it's worth it to put your name in and then get a drink or an app at any of the amazing places nearby. Popular for a reason!! Highly recommend sitting outside on the patio if weather permits!

Leon's was great! With a large party of 10 on a Saturday night and we had a great time. Ordered a few dozen raw oysters and a few chargrilled, which they're known for. Really good, fresh, flavorful, definitely worth ordering. Also got the mahi dip, but could have lived without it, group was a big fan of the hush puppies. Split the grilled fish and the cucumber salad and it was awesome. I would order that every day. The cucumber salad was fantastic. Honestly, next order with them will be a dozen raw assorted oysters, the fish and the cucumber salad with a frose. Did I not mention the frozen G&T and frose? YUP. Delicious. Highly recommend

This was a fun spot to come for brunch on my bachelorette. They were able to accommodate my large party (with advance notice). We ordered a mix of oysters, hush puppies, and chicken sandwiches. Not being from the south, I can't judge if this is the best high puppies etc in the area but it was good! There is a nice casual ambiance with the string lights and picnic style tables. Food and service was good overall! I'd recommend Leon's to locals and tourists alike.

We stopped in to Leon's based on the recommendation of a bartender at another restaurant. We he mentioned it to us the rest of the staff shook their heads in agreement - that was good enough for me. Leon's is in a converted auto garage and the decor sticks with that theme. They have indoor and door seating and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered The Chicken Sandwich, a 2-piece Fried Chicken, and the Crispy Friend Oyster Roll but started with the Crispy Clam Wraps and Hushpuppies. We all agreed that these simple Hushpuppies were the best we've had in Charleston in three tries. The Crispy Claps Wraps were fantastic too. The chicken wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but there were a couple of good hot sauce options at the table. Our waitress rolled her eyes a little when my wife told her they brought her the wrong thing (Fried Shrimp Roll instead of the Fried Oyster Roll) but she fixed it right away and was attentive through out the remainder of the meal. It frankly took something away from the experience for me but my wife didn't notice and I sure as hell wasn't going to tell her. Might make it a 4.5 of 5 for me but Yelp doesn't work that way.

My husband and I we're visiting from out of town, for a short weekend in Charleston, and wanted to be sure we hit a few good foodie spots. Shout out to the local Yelp Community Manager for recommending Leon's, because it was a great pick! The vibes, first and foremost, are very inviting. Like elegant, but rustic, but beachy, but vintage? I don't know exactly how to describe it. Just a good feel! We came in on a Sunday early afternoon and the patio was poppin' (with a wait to be seated there), so we opted for a bar seat. We're personally fans of a bar seat, especially when the bartenders are fun, which they were here! I'm still regretting not getting a frozen drink because they looked so refreshing on the hot day that it was, but I did enjoy my choice of the Stiegl Grapefruit Radler beer. They have the option to add gin & salted rim over ice to make it into more of a cocktail, anddd I couldn't say no. It was great. TFood menu has some good options! Fried chicken, tasty sounding salads, and of course oysters. We decided to split a few things, and took recs from our sweet bartender friend. Shrimp roll was my fave, served on a damn good bun. Was also a fan of the crispy clam wraps and the spicy mayo paired with them. Wouldn't hesitate to return here next time we're in town!

Great OYESTERS!!! And appetizers! Has a Long waiting list- def recommend making a reservation! Staffs were really nice and communicative. If you don't know what to drink, ask for recommendations, they will give you some good ones ;)

We had another fabulous lunch at Leon's! We started off with hushpuppies that are served with honey butter (YUM!), frozen G&T's and Elder75's. Raw oysters & the char grilled oysters are a MUST order at Leon's. The char grilled oysters are super flavorful - butter, lemon, parm & garlic! We shared the big chicken platter for the table - the fried chicken is worth the hype here. The crispy shrimp roll was out of this world!!! I was a huge fan of the coleslaw too. Great service & fun ambiance as always!

I saw Leon's pop up on several recommended sites for food in Charleston and I see why!! This has by far been the best food spot we're come across all trip! I'm not even a fan of oysters, and yet I would have 100 more of these char grilled ones. The wait wasn't long before we had a spot outside (pet friendly), even if it was longer, I'd wait! The service was also spectacular (shoutout Sean). He wasn't pushy with us and gave the best recommendations.
